The main genre I chose to work with is 'drama' but with a few elements considered to be more apparent in the subgenre of 'thriller'. Drama films consist of realistic settings and situations, the plot focusing on mental and/or emotional issues within characters, and includes hard decisions needed to made, while thriller films consist of vaguely threatening atmospheres, lots of suspense build-up, and the antagonist (if there is one) usually has something personal against the protagonist(s).
